Bhutan Photography Tour (12 Days / 11 Nights)
Bhutan has captured both the eyes of writers and artists alike for its splendid arts and architecture and unique culture and traditions. Photography Tour is designed specifically for the clients who enjoy taking photographs of the people, typical Bhutanese houses, beautiful landscapes, fortresses, monasteries, snow capped mountains and series of exciting scenic spots. Our photo guide, who has the knowledge of the local area and understand the special needs of photographers, will accompany you to insure maximum flexibility for both planned and spontaneous photo opportunities. Some rooms in the Dzongs and monasteries have restrictions on Photography. Our guide will give you instructions of such places which are prohibited from taking photographs.
Day 1: Paro
Monday, December 15, 2025 - Tuesday, December 16, 2025
Arrive Paro, transfer to hotel for overnight halt. Evening, take a leisurely walk through Paro town.
Day 2: Paro
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 - Wednesday, December 17, 2025
After breakfast, hike to Taktsang Monastery.Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 3: Paro - Thimphu
Wednesday, December 17, 2025 - Thursday, December 18, 2025
Photography and sightseeing around Paro. Evening drive to Thimphu (about 1 hr 30 m drive). On arrival, transfer to hotel for overnight halt.
Day 4: Thimphu
Thursday, December 18, 2025 - Friday, December 19, 2025
Full day photography tour and sightseeing around Thimphu. Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 5: Thimphu - Punakha
Friday, December 19, 2025 - Saturday, December 20, 2025
After breakfast, drive to Punakha and Wangdue (about 2 hrs drive). Enroute, halt at Dochula pass (10500 feet) to photograph the spectacular view of snow capped eastern Himalayan Mountains, if the weather is clear. After lunch, photography and sightseeing in Punakha. Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 6: Punakha - Trongsa
Saturday, December 20, 2025 - Sunday, December 21, 2025
After breakfast, photography and sightseeing. After lunch, drive to Trongsa (about 4 hrs drive) and upon arrival transfer to hotel for overnight halt.
Day 7: Trongsa - Bumthang
Sunday, December 21, 2025 - Monday, December 22, 2025
Morning , Photography and sightseeing in Trongsa. After lunch drive to Bumthang (about 2 hrs drive) . Lot of photo stops enroute. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight halt.
Day 8: Bumthang
Monday, December 22, 2025 - Tuesday, December 23, 2025
Full day photography and sightseeing in Bumthang. Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 9: Bumthang
Tuesday, December 23, 2025 - Wednesday, December 24, 2025
Morning, drive to Ura village for a day long photo excursion. Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 10: Bumthang - Punakha
Wednesday, December 24, 2025 - Thursday, December 25, 2025
After breakfast drive to Punakha,(about 6 hrs drive), enroute visit Gangtey Gompa at Phobjikha. Overnight halt in the hotel.
Day 11: Punakha - Paro
Thursday, December 25, 2025 - Friday, December 26, 2025
Morning, drive to Paro with impromptu stops enroute. Upon arrival, check into hotel for overnight. Evening, take a leisurely walk through Paro town.
Day 12: Paro
Friday, December 26, 2025 - Saturday, December 27, 2025
Transfer to airport for your next destination.
